The theme was dinosaurs with a rainbow chevron print. This made it really really easy to get coordinating plates, silverware, cups, decorations.
I bought my rainbow chevron print on etsy at the Robinson Pattern Company shop.
I then used this fabric to make the following:
This is the front and back of his onesie. I cut out the number 1 then used steam-a-seam to adhere it to the onesie. I then bought some embroidery thread in a navy blue on stitched around the number 1. For the dinosaur prints, I bought a package of dinosaur stencils from Oriental Trading and black fabric paint. I stenciled the dinosaurs on the fabric, used steam-a-seam to adhere to the onesie/jean shirt and then took lime green/teal embroidery thread to stitch around the dinosaur. I left about 1.5 inches of fabric all around and cut little slits into the fabric, then I through it in the washer. The cotton fabric frays itself!
I made his birthday hat (that I forgot to have him wear) and a banner (that I forgot to adhere to his highchair):
Now on to the printables!
It all started with the invite!
I made tons of pdfs (will put on etsy soon) to print and then either cut them out or punched them with a 2" paper punch. Here is how I used all of them :)

The cake table was a hit!! Joann Fabrics had a sale on the sixlet holders you see below - it was buy one get one free! Well I jumped on it, they also sell the colored sixlets which really brought the cake table to life. The cake just turned out fabulous! I was so lucky to have this given to Cyrus for his birthday present from our caregiver. The smash cake with his name on it was perfect as well. I also had her make the tiny cakes on the side for more umph! Then finished off the table with thank you cookies for the kids and adults to take! They were made into C's and 1's and then airbrushed the chevron colors!
At the end of the party the kids got to leave with a dinosaur egg. It was filled with dinosaur tattoos, dinosaur crayons, top spinners, a kazoo, a dinosaur that you put in water and it grows, bouncy ball, poppers. All the kids really enjoyed them!
For me! I wanted to be part of the festivities so I made myself a little dinosaur high-waisted skirt - I bought the fabric at etsy shop Masons Cottage. I love the way it turned out!
well hopefully this post will inspire you to bring out your inner dinosaur!! ROOOOAR!! Overall the birthday boy had a fabulous birthday and the party was a SMASH!
